So, what really causes acne? There are many medical reasons for acne, but one of the most important things for you to know about acne is that it’s not your fault! Tip #1 – Do not over wash you face : As stated above, acne is caused by a number of factors out side of your control and dirt is not one of them. Actually, excessive washing may make matters worse. Washing your face twice a day should be sufficient.

Tip #2 – Avoid harsh scrubs : You can exfoliate, but make sure to use a gentle product. Never use products with a harsh or rough grains, such as products containing almond or apricot shell fragments.

Tip #3 – Avoid toners high in alcohol : These types of products strip away the top layer of the skin, causing it to produce even more oil. And you know what will happen next? Right, more acne.

Tip #4 – Keep your hands off : Too much touching of your face can trigger a breakout. So, look at your beautiful face, but don’t touch!
